In creating this website logo, I was tasked with incorporating visual elements of Hmong culture while also representing the site’s function as an educational resource.
ILLUSTRATION: a combination of a double swirl motif, a well-known symbol in Hmong culture, and a book representing learning and education.
TYPOGRAPHY: a typeface that was sans-serif, bold, and easy to read at different scales.
COLOR PALETTE: inspired by the Red and Green Rivers in China, which the Hmong historically crossed while migrating into Southeast Asia.
While brainstorming, I experimented with different configurations of the logo.
